Youth @ Cooke
At Cooke we believe engaging with the Young People is essential. We do so through the different groups that are centred around the Young People that make up the congregation at Cooke.Some of these groups are listed below.
Bible Class
In the Bible classes, we use the Bible to look at God's relationship with his people and see what he has to say to us today. These are very interactive groups and our meetings can include, quizzes, drama, group work and personal study.This is what one of our senior members has to say about Bible Class:-
"Bible classes meet every Sunday morning during the church service and are for young people aged between 11 and 15. It's quite a task to keep 8 - 10 loud teens under control every week and prepare lessons that they will enjoy and not find to childish, though most of the time the more childish the task - the more we enjoy it!
Issues that are covered include Junior Alpha, Friendships, Studies of various Bible Characters as well as other topics that are interested and varied. Discussion is usually lively, with everyone getting a chance to put forward their point of view on any topic without fear of what others will say. All in all Bible class is very enjoyable and the friendships that are formed there, lead into other groups throughout the church.
If you have a free Sunday morning come along and find out for yourself how much fun it can be - be amazed at how many friends you can make while finding out about God and how he wants us to live."
Genesis
The Genesis Youth Group meet each Sunday evening from 8.00pm - 9.30pm.They meet to discuss any topic of interest to the young people from a Christian viewpoint.
